Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) in Dibrugarh brought its Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2025 to a close on Monday, capping off seven days of activities focused on promoting ethical conduct and transparency within the organisation.

Observed from October 27 to November 2 in accordance with Central Vigilance Commission guidelines, this year’s programme centred on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”, emphasising collective accountability in maintaining institutional integrity.

The initiative commenced on October 27when Managing Director Pranjal Changmai administered an Integrity Pledge to all employees gathered at the Administrative Building, setting the tone for a week of engagement on anti-corruption measures and ethical workplace practices.

BCPL organised a diverse range of activities throughout the week designed to promote citizen participation in upholding probity in public life. These included classroom training sessions, an online quiz competition, and creative competitions encompassing essay writing, art, and slogan creation—all based on the vigilance theme. Participation extended beyond BCPL’s workforce to include contractual workers, employees’ family members, and students from surrounding areas.

Monday’s closing ceremony at the Administrative Building saw the presence of key leadership including Pranjal Changmai as chief guest, alongside Director (Finance) Pruthiviraj Dash, Chief Operating Officer Joyonto Panging, Chief General Manager (O&M) Sitangshu Paul, and numerous senior officials and staff members.

Senior Manager (Vigilance) Kaberi Kakati delivered a presentation summarising the week’s extensive activities and participation levels.

Addressing the gathering, Changmai issued a strong call to action: “I urge the entire BCPL fraternity to maintain transparency and integrity in the workplace and to abide by the procedures and policies.”

Echoing the sentiment, Pruthiviraj Dash emphasised the organisational benefits of ethical conduct, stating: “Maintain integrity in the workplace for better growth of the organisation.”

The ceremony featured an interactive segment allowing employees to voice suggestions and share perspectives on vigilance matters, creating an open forum for discussion on strengthening ethical practices within BCPL.

The week’s activities culminated in a prize distribution ceremony honouring winners of the various competitions, recognising those who demonstrated exemplary understanding and promotion of vigilance principles.
